In person interpreting 60 minutes (One hour minimum) (In Santa Cruz area discount) In person at your facility in the Santa Cruz area. 60 minutes (One hour minimum) (Outside of Santa Cruz area) In person at your facility outside the Santa Cruz area, plus mileage. Mileage applies to jobs outside of the Santa Cruz area at fifty five cents a mile round trip. 15 minutes increments - No team interpreter rate. This rate applies to the second hour and applies when interpreting without a team interpreter. Assignments lasting over one hour in duration typically require a team interpreter. 2nd hour with a team interpreter is FREE. 15 minutes increments - With a team interpreter rate. This rate applies to the 3rd hour and applies to team interpreting. Assignments lasting over one hour in duration typically require a team interpreter. New Customer/Client Discount (Non-profits always get this discount) New clients get 10% off the first interpreting assignment. All day assignment rates are negotiable. Team interpreting is the utilization of two or more interpreters who support each other to meet the needs of a particular communication situation. The decision to use a team rather than an individual interpreter is based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to: * Length and/or complexity of the assignment, * Unique needs of the persons being served, * Physical and emotional dynamics of the setting, * Avoidance of repetitive stress injuries (RSIs) for interpreters. |

Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) is a fee-based interpreting service conveyed via video conferencing where at least one person, typically the interpreter, is at a separate location. As a fee based service, VRI may be arranged through service contracts, rate plans based on per minute or per hour fees, or charges based on individual usage.
